Autumn Light

is different than Spring, Summer and Winter

it tends to give off a brilliance against the Blue Sky

As it peers through the leaves of the Maples in their glorious shades of Red, Orange & Yellow, my breath deepens as if I’m witnessing their glory for the very first time or for the last; for these leaves will be dropping soon and letting themselves go one by one until all are on the ground to mulch and be absorbed again by the earth below.

Is there a party – ‘welcoming party’ for the leaves and their nutrients? I imagine so. If not, there should be.

Leaves are special by their design, texture, colors and size.

Autumn Light is bright and its time to shine is not as long as the call for light in Summer or Spring.

Relish each season. Each has a specific purpose and each holds hands like we did in kindergarten as we passed the baton onto the next one beside us, so do the trees and their branches embrace their neighbor and make room for each one to grow, to expand, to shine bright against the blue Autumn Sky with its Light peering through.

Wishing each of you – a Blessed Autumn!
