Retirement. ? Sounds lovely, but is it really?
What’s happened to me can really be described like the rogue sock tumbling in the dryer attaching itself to odd things in order to get lost or ONE DAY be FOUND.
I began with thoughts of lots of time for CREATIVITY – Writing, Walking, Photography, Clearing the Clutter from my home, drawers, closets, GARAGE! – Some of this has happened! SOME of this has remained the same or increased with the unwanted ten pounds I gained! Shingles, Cortisol, Grief, Stress, other responsibilities became more demanding. Losing my Mom last July 4th.
Like the sock tumbling in the dryer aimlessly, yet longing to attach itself to something, I am attempting to become comfortable with being uncomfortable and not knowing the direction in which to be at peace and find my NEW purpose.
If anyone reading this would like to share their personal NEXT CHAPTER story, I would welcome how you arrived where you are in one piece with happiness and joy, instead of longing and aimless.
Like the Sock in a Dryer
I stumble out of bed
Go to my Yoga Room
Sometimes to write and pray first
Other times, to move my body
and strengthen my muscles
in an attempt to grow stronger and leaner
My pleas for help from God, I believe are heard
for some reason, unknown to me at this moment
the sock is stuck in my ear and I cannot hear the guidance
Peace to you and yours,

Missing Sock Mate – Missing Soul Mate ?
Prepare for the NEXT CHAPTER – it’s not as lovely OR Easy as you might believe it to be. As I say this, I realize that every chapter, transition in my life has been a challenge. Change no matter what it is – IS different. Bring a Friend, have a routine, even if it’s small at first, it will help, while you look back at the list of to-dos and hope to’s.
With Love and Gratitude, Anita
